Victorian Etruscan Revival Drop Earrings

These charming Victorian drop earrings are a stunning example of craftsmanship. Made from lustrous 18ct yellow gold, each earring is designed in the intricate Etruscan style. The central egg-shaped element is adorned with delicate roped detailing and beaded accents. Suspended from the base of each earring are seven flowing gold tassels, typical of the Etruscan design, which sway gracefully with the wearer’s movement. The earrings are finished with a curved pavilion at the top and secure French hook fastenings at the back.

During the 1860s, the Etruscan Revival became a prominent trend as numerous Etruscan artifacts were being discovered in Italy.
