Mother's Day Edit

This Mother’s Day, instead of giving you an itemised list of jewellery that Mums Are Sure To Love, I’d like to encourage you to be inspired by the woman she is and pick something that makes her feel truly seen and appreciated. Vintage jewellery is the perfect one-of-a-kind luxury that can draw anyone in. Therefore, I think it’d be fun to paint a picture of some of the pivotal women in our lives, through their choice in jewellery. 

In the run-up to Mother’s Day I’ve been chatting to some of my friends about their style icons since birth, and have compiled a gift guide based on our conversations.

Women that inspire us

Natasha & Kat

'Mom loves diamonds. She usually dresses pretty classic so statement jewellery and added sparkle are an absolute staple. The love for insect jewellery is also generational’.

 For context, Kat and her mother both collect insect and other novelty brooches, adding them to their winter coats over the years. These Schlumberger earrings and ring are stacked with diamonds for a decadent look, whilst the antique Cartier ladybird pendant makes for the sweetest touch of whimsy. 

Louise & Charlie

'Mum doesn’t really wear much jewellery in her day-to-day life, but loves the few pieces she has for special occasions’.

Charlie’s picked dainty stackable rings, classic studs and a charm she can add to her growing collection. Minimalist designs that showcase quality and craftsmanship above all else.

Rachel & Marine

'My mum is a massive fan of mixed metals, more out of practicality than an aesthetic choice - she has so many pieces she loves, it’s a way for her to actually wear them regularly’.

 Eve favours abstract silhouettes and edgier design choices for her jewellery, such as these sculptural Charles de Temple rings, or this unique slice-cut diamond pendant; wearable pieces of art to fit into her everyday style. 

Yuying & Jasmine

Last but not least, for my mother, I’ve selected a range of intricate pieces, with a soft, pastel palette that colours most of her life. Her love for nature often bleeds into her jewellery, silk flowers in her hair, winding vine patterns along her pendants and a penchant for natural pearls. Our small collection of art nouveau pieces are perfect for her, with their bold yet feminine designs. I’ve also snuck in a phoenix brooch, a beloved motif for her in her art.
