Georgian 1820s ‘In Memory Of’ Enamel Mourning Band Ring
18ct Yellow Gold
1 in stock
This is a wonderful 18ct yellow gold mourning ring from the late Georgian era. The ring has been set with a central rectangular shaped onyx and the band of the ring features a black enamel centre with the words ‘In Memory Of’. Above and below the middle band there are wonderfully detailed borders. The inside of the ring has been hand engraved with the words ‘William Haily died 6th Feb. 1830 aged 74′.
The ring has full crisp and clear hallmarks to the year 1829 and made in London. This is a fine example of a Georgian memorial ring and a great piece of history.
