A witches heart is one where the tail or bottom part of the heart bends to one side and goes as far back as the 15th Century and was used to ward off evil spirits, however in the romantic Victorian period of the 1800’s came to be seen as a betrothal or marriage piece of jewellery.
And this one here is made even more special by being made with two entwined witches hearts symbolising an eternal love and just as important this is set with diamonds.
The heart has been set with an array of old and rose cut diamonds and is a lovely example of Victorian jewellery. The necklace was originally a brooch but we converted it into a stunning everyday wearable necklace.
